Dedication of Infants and Children
Jesus loved children. They thought he was fun!
- why else would they gather round to be close to him.
It is the biblical pattern that infants be dedicated to
God. This follows the old testament instructions, and
the example set for us by Joseph and Mary, who dedicated
the infant Jesus in the temple. (Luke 2:22-23).
And so we offer a service of dedication, when parents
can present
the young child to the Lord.
