Prayer Points

1. Pray for the political situation in Malawi. There has recently been a political stand of in the country with parliament failing to normally sit to pass the national budget. Pray that the political squabbling that only makes things worse for the poor will be resolved and the budget passed.

2. Pray for the Aids situation in Malawi which is getting rather worse. Thank God for the work of SIM/Africa Evangelical Church in Home Based Care Project for the terminally ill, and the Orphan Care Program which is making a difference to the HIV and AIDS crisis. Pray that the workers in the H.B.C. and Orphan Care projects, like Helen Fazakerley will be motivated, encouraged and have the resources they need to properly carry out their work.

3. Pray for the Africa Evangelical Church in Malawi and its discipleship programs. Pray that more pastors will be trained to fill the shortage in the Church. Also pray for the AEC Headquarters Chilomoni Church project, where Louis and Olipa had been serving and where the Fazakerleys are also involved. The Church has been under construction for many years. Pray for God's provision for the completion of the church.

4. Thank God for the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi, (where Megumi is the Academic Dean) and it’s training pastors for the churches in Malawi. Pray that the Lord will use the college to adequately prepare pastors for the many local churches that need teaching. Pray that the Bible College will be adequately staffed, for staff shortage is a major problem. Pray for the security of the college, whose wall are still one third incomplete and makes the place vulnerable. Pray that the walls be completed soon.
