Sunday School Anniversary 2007

On Sunday 13th May 2007 we celebrated the Sunday School Anniversary. We were joined by a group from the School of the Lion. We really enjoyed watching their puppets in action.

City Harvest 2006

On Saturday 23rd September 2006 the church had a stall in Southgate Street in the City Centre as part of the City Harvest. All the helpers were given specially produced T-shirts. Shoppers passing by were given leaflets about Youth and JAM Club and our forthcoming Alpha Course. Face painting was also available once again.

Church Barbecue 2006

On Sunday 16th July following the baptismal service for Margaret Ani, over 80 people met up for a BBQ at the Events Area at Beechenhurst Picnic Area in the Forest of Dean. We were served by Jonathan and Charley who had been slaving over the hot coals. After lunch some people just chatted, others went to explore the nearby sculpture trail or enjoyed a game of football or frisbee. Later, many people had a refreshing ice cream as temperatures reached over 30°C. At 3.30pm we reconvened for a short service under the shade of the gazebos.

Church Outing to Weston 2006

On Saturday 24th June 2006 a coach load of people and two cars, totalling about 60 people, went down to Weston super Mare for the Church Outing. We also stopped off on the way at Cadbury's Garden Centre. A great time was had by all. Activities included building sandcastles, playing cricket or football, or simply relaxing in the sunshine.
